POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION IS REAL.
It’s no joke. And it sucks.
I battled major postpartum depression (PPD) for almost 3 years, beginning right after giving birth to my first baby, Ava Leigh. The depression became worse with time, and lead me to a very dark place after giving birth to my second, Carson Joe. The medications used to treat all of my symptoms made me feel numb, and had some really terrible side effects. I felt like I lost “me” and that I was never coming back.
I pushed through until I hit rock bottom in November of 2016. I mustered up the guts to call a sweet friend of mine who was always posting on Facebook about healing after a 7 year battle with depression. She let me boo-hoo my eyes out for a good 3 hours, she prayed with me, then she told me about Plexus and how it changed her life. I was broken. I was desperate. I skeptically took the plunge.
After just 6 days of taking Plexus supplements, I woke up with a real, genuine smile (even my husband noticed), after 1.5 weeks I was sleeping through the night, and after 3 months, I declared that I was depression-free! I have true JOY again, and I get to enjoy being the Mom that my kids need and deserve.
Once I started feeling better, I started researching gut health and found some VERY shocking research about the gut-brain axis. 90% of depressed people have a gut-related problem (due to the preservatives in the foods we eat) which can easily be repaired with the right supplements. I would encourage you to look into this if you, or someone you know is battling depression.
There is so much hope for healing. Supplements may not be the answer for everyone like it was for me, but so much of the time it’s just that simple. Please feel free to share my story. I feel that this experience just might be the moment for which I was created (Esther 4:14)
